The Call You Can't Script

Their data leaked on your watch — now get on the phone and say so

The situation

A misconfigured export exposed one enterprise customer's employee records — names, SSNs, salary bands — to another tenant for nine days. It's contained now, but the customer's security team found it before you finished your own investigation, and they're furious. In ten minutes you're on a call with their CISO and a notably quiet procurement lead. You don't have every answer yet. You have to be honest about what's known and unknown, own the failure without over-promising, and give them something they can take to their own legal and affected employees — all while not torching a $2M renewal.

What you'll practice

Stated known facts and explicitly flagged what's still unknown
